Chorizo Pizza

RollinGreens Chorizo topped on a classic cheese pizza. Best of both worlds, whole cheese pizza just for you, plus plant-based protein with a touch of heat for the win.



Ingredients

Serves: 1-4 people

  • 1 Bag RollinGreens Chorizo
  • 2 cups water (Chorizo)
  • 2 T olive oil (Chorizo)
  • 2 tsp vinegar (Chorizo)
  • 1 large pizza dough (if want to make your own, search
  • 1 bag shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Olive oil (Optional)

Instructions

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Place dough on counter and allow to warm to room temperature.
  • Add 2 cups water to a medium pot or pan.
  • Add olive oil and vinegar to water.
  • Bring to boil, once boiling, reduce heat to medium low and tear off the top of the chorizo pack and add contents. Stir well.
  • Stir a few times throughout the cook for 7-10 minutes or until most of the moisture has evaporated.
  • On a piece of cellophane, place about a quarter of the chorizo, fold over itself and roll into a sausage for your pizza, refrigerate until solid and save the rest for future meals, eat within seven days.
  • Stretch dough with the extra flour, using a small amount of flour each time you stretch it.
  • Place dough on a pizza pan and add preferred amount of sauce.
  • Add mozzarella cheese, spread evenly.
  • Remove chorizo sausage from refrigerator and make ¼ inch slices, about 12-15.
  • Place chorizo slices onto pizza and add parmesan cheese. Drizzle olive oil on top (optional)
  • Bake until crust is golden, and cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and place onto cutting board. Cut once it has a few minutes to cool.
