This refreshing twist of a B.B.Q. chicken pizza will have everyone wanting more. Topped with our Lightly Seasoned Protein, Red Onion and Mozzarella Cheese and finished with B.B.Q sauce and fresh Cilantro.
Serves: 1-4 people
Ingredients
For Lightly Seasoned Protein
- 1 Bag RollinGreens Lightly Seasoned Protein
- 2 cups water
- 3 tbsp olive oil
For the Pizza
- 1 large pizza dough
- ¼ cup flour
- 1/4 -1/2 jar of marinara sauce
- ¼ cup 1-12 oz. bag shredded mozzarella cheese (optional cheese alternative)
- 1/4 red onion
- 4-6 sprigs cilantro
- 2-3 tbsp B.B.Q. sauce
Instructions
- For the Lightly Seasoned Protein, bring 2 cups water and olive oil to a boil in a medium pot or pan. Reduce heat to medium low.
- Cook 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until most of the moisture has been absorbed. Turn heat to simmer.
- For the pizza, preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Stretch dough with the extra flour. Place dough on a pizza pan and add preferred amount of sauce. Add the mozzarella cheese, spread evenly.
- Cut red onion into slices
- Wash 4-6 sprigs cilantro
- Place 2-3 tbsp B.B.Q. sauce into a squeeze bottle (optional)
- Spread Lightly Seasoned Protein over the whole pizza, then the onion.
- Bake pizza until crust is golden, and cheese is bubbling, about 10-15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and place onto a cutting board. Drizzle B.B.Q. sauce and sprinkle cilantro over the whole pizza. Cut once it has a few minutes to cool.
